Philipp Wank is the creator and owner of Soccer Instinct, a groundbreaking soccer training program designed to enhance player performance through neuro-athletic development and smarter decision-making on the field. With over 25 years of international coaching experience at the highest levels, Philipp has a proven track record of developing elite soccer players and teams.
Coaching Experience and Credentials
Born and raised in Dortmund, Germany, Philipp holds a UEFA B License with honors, awarded by the German Football Federation (DFB), as well as a UEFA C License. He is currently a candidate for the prestigious UEFA A License. His coaching career includes extensive experience with top German soccer clubs, where he worked with youth teams at the highest levels.
In 2019, Philipp moved to the United States, where he continued his coaching career at the professional and semi-professional levels. He worked with the Greek professional club Olympiacos Piraeus FC, serving as Technical Director for the international youth academy and Head Coach for the semi-professional men’s team. Philipp has also worked with NCAA D1 and D2 college programs, further refining his ability to develop players across different levels.
Currently, Philipp is the Head Coach for the semi-professional men’s team at Arlington Soccer Association, competing in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). He also serves as the Director of Men’s Programs, leading the development of male soccer talent.
Authorship and Contributions
In 2020, Philipp co-authored the book "Soccerkinetics," a pioneering work in soccer training methodology. The book is used by the German Soccer Federation (DFB) in their official coaching education classes, underscoring Philipp's influence in the global soccer community.

In addition to his impressive soccer career, Philipp holds two law degrees and has worked for over a decade as a prosecutor, international lawyer, and corporate head of legal. His unique background in law and business leadership provides a distinct perspective on coaching and leadership, further enhancing his ability to develop players both on and off the field.
Philipp currently resides in Maryland with his wife, two children, and two dogs, where he continues to lead Soccer Instinct and inspire the next generation of soccer players.
